Tying up loose ends, so to speak

First, I would like to thank all my lovely blogmates for your well-wishes and concern over my upcoming surgery on Monday. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy that you are watching out for my welfare. I know I have been VERY nervous about this surgery, but I feel that with so many people around the world sending good thoughts, everything will be fine.

We had a wonderful visit with son and DIL (who just left yesterday) and daughter, SIL, and the girls. We had a chance to spend some happy times with each other and the girls were so excited about their Uncle Eli and Aunt Aprilyn coming to visit. Even the cats got in on the act. We grilled out several times (in between bad storms) and everyone enjoyed themselves a great deal.

Barring a few complications with our vehicles, we think all the kinks have been worked out and everybody knows where they are supposed to be during the next couple of days. Daughter will stay with us at the hospital until Tuesday. So, please check Alipurr's blog after Tuesday for an update on my condition.

I will be spending today doing all the last minute things I meant to do several days ago. But, that proved to be impossible because we had a controlled chaos situation here with people sleeping in every nook and cranny all throughout the house. (I think I finally had a meltdown yesterday.)

So, thanks again for your kind thoughts and good wishes. (Susan, I loved the sunflower.) I couldn't talk husband into taking his laptop so I will be offline until I get home.

Love to you all, the soon-to-be semi-bionic woman

Hugs and prayers to you! You've been on my mind as of late, with your surgery day (and birthday!) quickly approaching.

I know how you feel about all the guests, hehe. It's fun yet overwhelming.

I'm glad you had a great (and hectic) time. I missed you last week but knew you had your hands full.
My thoughts and prayers will be with next week (as always.) When it's all over and you're recovered, you'll wonder why you took so long to get it done. Sending you some electronic hugs right now.

You'll be in my prayers MKitty, before, during and after the surgery. Glad you had such a lovely time with the kids. May God bless you and give you that peace that passes all understanding!

Motherkitty,

I've been thinking of you, with all those visitors and your pre-surgery nerves. I would have had a meltdown, too, and probably when the visitors first arrived!

I will be thinking of you on Monday (your time), and will 'check up' on you via Alipurr's blog.

Here is a big, squeezy ((HUG)) for you!

XO Jelly

Motherkitty...I know how hectic and wonderful it is at the same time to have all your children & families under one roof. I know they must have pampered you because you deserve it.
I'll be thinking of you on Tuesday and here's wishing you an early Happy Birthday to my soon to be bionic SIL.
Love you

You may not read this till after it is all over but wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
I enjoy so much the comments you leave - seems everywhere I go I see a comment that has wisdom in it from you - and that is a very nice thing.
God Bless.

In 30 minutes we walk out the door, get in the van, and drive to Nashville (12 noon). Now, I'm really getting butterflies in my stomach. I am being allowed to drive to Nashville (last time I will be able to drive for 10 weeks).

I want to thank you ALL for your beautiful thoughts, prayers, and comments. I can feel the love across the span of time and space and I will carry your good wishes with me into surgery.

Husband relented and is taking his laptop with him (it will keep him busy while I'm in physical therapy). Hopefully the Wi-Fi connection will work in the hospital and maybe, just maybe, Alipurr can get online and post an update on my condition. If not, please check her blog after Tuesday.

Talk to you all very soon!!!

This week I posted a huge puzzle at my blog--something to drive you crazy during your recovery...if you choose to undertake the maddening mission, that is!

This is Motherkitty's second in command. Motherkitty is home and very tired. So has answered four phones and sat on two chairs while I was gone to get some milk. When I left I told her to lay still because I did not want her laying on the floor when I returned. She was stuck in her easy chair when I got home. The first thing I heard was, "Will you help me up out of this chair I seem to be stuck" I remember Pooh Bear Stuck in a hole while eating honey.
