A birthday present from a good friend

A very dear and long-time friend (you notice I didn't say "old" friend) sent me a beautiful birthday wish today and included was this photo. Friend and her husband had joined us for Thanksgiving last November, and during the course of serving up the feast, she took this picture of me.

So, for those who thought I looked like this:

This is what I "actually" look like:

Here I am, barefoot but not pregnant, in my kitchen wearing the apron my darling granddaughters made for me. The meal turned out great and everybody had a wonderful time.

BTW, in approximately 51 days husband and I will be grandparents to a new baby boy. Daughter alipurr is feeling wonderful. Can't hardly wait for the big event.

Great picture of you Motherkitty...And doing something you do best, cooking.

I just wish everyone could sample some of your good cooking and I know the secret of why it's so good...because you put love in it and you really, really enjoy cooking for those you love.

Well, you certainly don't look like that cat at all! Great photo--nice to finally put a face to the "voice".

If we ever get to Patti's for dinner I'll be sure to take lots of photos! :-)

And so glad the world now knows you're not pregnant!!!

Mother Kitty, Happy Birthday! I hope you are having a good one.

I love your picture, you look wonderful! Now, I feel like I really know who you are...

Well Grandma, I know you are getting anxious. It won't be long now. I can't wait until you are enjoying that baby boy as much as I have been enjoying our new one. As you know, there is nothing as special as grandkids! I like the apron yours made you.

Thanks so much for sharing this lovely picture with us MK. It's so nice to see you! Gosh, and I thought you were a gray-haired (or is it black?) kitty cat all this time :)
It's only about 33 days now until the new little grandchild arrives. I can imagine the excitement!
Have a wonderful Sunday! Hope you're getting as much beautiful sunshine as we are!

Check out our Hickory Cabinets behind Motherkitty. They are about 15 years old and they look as nice today as the day we had them installed.
